Revo or Jabba remap?
« on: December 07, 2010, 10:42:42 pm »
Does anyone have a Jabba remap? I may be looking to remap my ED30, I know a man who has had a remap, from Jabba, Thanks Luke for the reply. :)
I'm looking at going to the TT shop at Bedford for the Revo deal, or Jabba who have serviced one of my S3's in the past, and who are also holding a deal, both can achieve 300bhp, Revo seems more popular, any others running a Jabba remap?
Thanks

I'm running a Jabba map on a K03 Octavia vRS.
A big thumbs up from me, but I cannot compare to Revo as I have never tried their software.

.
I have no experience of the Jabba map but the advantages of Revo are being able to fine tune the B/T/F settings to accommodate hardware mods as you change them or to run your engine more efficiently, and how well proven Revo are.

Another consideration is your location. I had a customer that we did a REVO map for and he recently moved down south, he had a problem with his car (not remap related) and as soon as any garages found out that it wasnt standard nobody would touch it, not even other tuners. Luckily we found him a REVO dealer within 20 miles from his new home and got the problem solved.

Im not saying either is better, just consider your location and if possible choose a local tuner. I get constant phonecalls from people that have had mobile remaps where a 'tuner' (I use that term loosely for most mobile outfits) has travelled miles and miles to carry out a remap and then the customer cant get them to come back to resolve any problems that their poor quality software has caused, so they come to us and expect us to work miracles for pennies. We usualy end up charging them to just put their car back to an original factory map and away goes all of the problems.

I am sure that both your local REVO agent and Jabba will do a fantastic job. Robin is correct about REVO having the adjustability but I am sure that Jabba would also be able to make any required changes for you
