POC's 2006 GTi

Thought it was prob time I had my own thread in here, these appear to be the kind of car you cant help but 'tinker with!

First time owning a VW of any kind (always been BMW/Audi/Subaru/Evo etc in the past).  Got myself a 2006 Gti, had it three days before I threw on a few little mods  :happy2: :happy2:

78k miles,
Remapped by CNL remapping
Apex springs
R32 brakes all round, grooved discs
HEL braided brake lines
ATP 3in Intake System
15mm TPi hubcentric wheel spacers on rear, 10mm on front
Brand new falken fk452 tyres all round on monza 17in wheeels
OEM rev.D DV
New style 'R' badge next to the Gti on the rear
German style plates (not shown in the pics)
Ipod connection with upgrade speaker system 10(8?) speakers
ESP
Tyre pressure sensors
Auto dip rear view mirror
Rear Parking sensors
Very tight quick car, amazing engine!

Nice motor mate, like those brakes a lot, the White looks good against the black car, will they look as good next summer after all the dust settles on? :laugh:

Lol cheers. The white is only a temp colour, after all the sh*te weather is gone they will be stripped off and painted lime green!

That's why I really like the Golf shape. Even in pretty standard spec, it still looks great.

Ageed, I've had alot of cars; 6 subarus, 2 evos, loads of bmws, several audis, tvrs etc, all good cars in their own right but if you are looking for a decent blend of a practicality, performance, and understated looks all wrapped up in a real drivers car then IMHO you'd be hard pushed to find a more rounded car than the mk5.
