stage 2+ OMG
« on: December 11, 2010, 06:18:09 pm »
finally got my car in today for stage 2+ software and i have to say its a massive difference. its going to take some getting ust to as it is so different.
The only way i can describe it, is at stage one you get a thrust as the turbo spools  and pulls for 1500-2000rpm, except this time it has that pull all the way round to 7000rpm. sooo happy with it. A friend followed me home in his e46 M3 and he was struggling to stay with me through 2-3-4 gear. was keeping within the speed limits at all times of course.

the fuel pump internals are so worth the £250 i paid and recommend to all
Stage 2+ 280.4 bhp ITG, Revo Stage 2+, decat, hpfp, THS intercooler, THS engine mounts, Pcv revamp, sportline springs, rs4 fuel valve, DS2500 pads and brembo discs, braided lines, ATE super blue brake fluid and more to come

Did you go from stage 1 to stage 2+? I'm at stage 1 atm and considering my options whether to go stage 2 or stage 2+. Mine is a daily driver so any advice is greatly appreciated.  :happy2:

yep revo software.

went from stage one straight to stage 2+. Using the ITG maxogen induction and dp with decat. i really cant believe the difference. its almost as impressive as going from stock to stage one. blew me away.

the only thing i dont have is the FMIC but i dont use the car all the time. more evenings and weekend so i dont worry about heat soak so much atm. I will no doubt get a ths cooler in the summer as the man at revo helped develop it and gets the cooler for 450 if i want one. he knows kev at revo personally so he knows his stuff and the cars running perfect.

Alot jucier though while having spirited drives but thats to be expected. think he set my settings as B8 T7 F4 or 5 cant remember now

Stage2+ is great, keep thinking of selling my ed30 with plans for something new, then drive the golf for a bit and cant think what else there is available that comes close as far as practicality, joy of driving and performance :driver:

Still have a few autotech HPFP kits left from the group buy (shameless plug) :ashamed:

im also at revo stage one and thinking about stage 2+, after reading about the difference from revo stage one im really tempted.
What is roughly the cost of making this jump? im guessing its dependent on what make of fuel pump, exhaust etc that i decide to go for, anyone know roughly the cost? Or should i stop being lazy and get down to my local revo dealer lol  :scared:

this is only what i paid and prices may vary

bought dp and decat of ebay £175
ITG maxogen £ 360
Autotech hpfp internals £260
and then from stage one revo to 2+ £100

i have also upgraded the brakes and this needs to be thought about. nothing major just new brembo discs £100 and ds2500 pads £160

and remember the extra stress on the clutch. i have put aside money for a new one as it slipped once or twice at stage one.

not trying to scare anyone off as it is truely awesome and relentless power but may help to be prepared just incase

johnboy what do you think of the ITG maxogen? Local revo dealer put it onto his cupra and the car made good gains alongside revo stage one, however the noise on full throttle was quite noisy in the cabin. The golf is suppose to be better insulated, do you find the noise very intrusive, or does the different exhaust drown it out?

In the golf it sounds like darth vador is hiding in your engine bay
