dont need to edit anything, told the rozzers and they said theyd have done exactly the same thing, aparently i made a public arrest.  :smiley:

Hmm, if he decided to say you assaulted him then it will be a different story, whatever they told you last night they would then need to arrest you, if someone on here grasses on you and they see this thread then you have not used " reasonable force to affect a lawful arrest", i.e he was running away and was not a threat to you but you still smashed him around the head !!, i am sorry but that could get you up in court and found guilty, its up to you of course just my advice, as i said i dont agree with it i am just trying to help

i think he got away lightly , would of took him on the moors and broke his legs...but thats just me has i have no faith in the justice system at all,he will be out doing community service

Good work on pounding the tosser and stopped him from getting away with anything!
Hopefully the law will do something meaningful but either way hes had a warning not to mess with your property again!

police just been round and apparently he has a massive history of offences and will be looking at a long stretch. Told the police EVERYTHING that happened, they have his shoe prints all over my kitchen, the guy said in 25years of being in the force he has only seen 2 other cases where a burgler has actually been chased by the owner, and they didnt catch them!!  :laugh:

Fair play to you, you just know that the justice system will let you down and the little bugger will be out in no time. Even if he does do a stretch its not exactly hard given they get every thing on a plate in prison. Should go back to bread and water and 10hrs of breaking rocks.
