The mk4 Ibiza Whitelie rear ARB fits the mk5 Ibiza so it should fit the new Polo too

Is it stronger than the GTI OEM one though?

the chassis isnt in the same league as the mk5 platform golfs.  the ESp cuts in far to much and the XDS is about as much use as a cock flavoured lollypop. Speaking to VWRacing they think the same, although as always add some coilovers, ARBs, some tyres and brakes etc and it'll be very good

They weigh hardly anything and the traffic light GP is what they do best. hence why with only stage 1 there are guys in the low 13s on the 1/4.  Ibizaracebrake on SCN has stage 1 REVO with a cat back exhaust and stripped interior, R888s and KW coilovers and hes got the fastest 1/4mile time ive seen.
Stock cars are making 14.66 on the 1/4 as well which is impressive in its own right. http://seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=316640

The guys on SCN seem to be having build quality issues with the engine.  the guy above has his engine in bits after his pistons melted etc, apparently injector not fueling enough, but from what i gather the main cars effected are 09 cars.  there are now new injectors and fuel pumps iirc.

There is a guy on SCN with a hybrid turbo running 250hp which from what i gather is pretty impressive.  Mines on a stage 1+ remap with a Decatted OEM downpipe and on the dual carriageway behind a mk2 leon Cupra i was having to lift off big style

Have a look here http://www.vagoc.co.uk/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=88 for remap possibilities and dyno graphs

They dont come with a rear ARB as standard, John.

Are you sure?  Iill have a look this weekend when im back home.

also @ hurdy there are loads of brake options as the front hubs are the same as on the mk4 Golf platform,so if it fits the mk4 golf, it'll fit the polo

Little vid for Hurdy. Went to Milltek yesterday as i had a couple of issues with the exhaust that were probably loosing me power. As always they sorted me out. Been out practising my 0 to 60 starts. Took some weight out and got my Parada spec 2,s very hot. This was my best effort

Also for Hurdy.  The uprated engine mods are available i guess, this guy is nearly complete in building a 500hp 1.4TSI http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/381488.aspx?PageIndex=1

Thanks for the vid  :happy2:

Just taken a VRs out for a test drive this afternoon, whets my appetite for the Polo GTi for sure :happy2:

VRs is a positive bargain at the moment, but I like the styling of the GTi more  .

Just Phoned VW a bit since and they have a 5dr one in white for me to test drive tomorrow  :star:
Golf R gone.

Even better then. :happy2:

For once the wife may have hit on a good car.  :innocent:

I've been looking at upgrades already, so get ready if I do hit the go button on one of these as it will be a quick 'un :happy2:

If all turns out okay I'll run one of these and then look at a Polo R next year and transfer compatible mods. :driver:

Golf R gone.

I managed 5.6seconds 0-60 at bruntingthorp with 205wide road tyres.  With his TD wheels and wider tyres on a sticky pod strip id bet thats easily beatable

Very nice, her indoors has just bought a white one, she gets it next week. :happy2:  Bl@@dy annoying that the GTI does not come with rear tints, so we'll have to get that done - where did you get yours done?  Are you likely to be at Andy's (near Croft Circuit) anytime soon, I'd really like to take a look at yours in the flesh!

Sorry for the late reply, just got back from a week @ the Ring on my bike. Company at Stokesley did my rear tints. Think it was 20 rear and 25 sides. I intend to pop down to Andy,s sometime soon.

Finally managed to get my new SPS unit and discovered it was set on 95ron fuel mapping. Changed it to performance C and had it dynoed yesterday.

Made 231bhp - 234lb/ft still on o/e filter/intake and intercooler :happy2:.
