MFD Clock
« on: December 16, 2010, 01:33:55 am »
Hi All

When I first got my car, it had the RCD500 radio installed which I changed for an RNS510.  Recently I have changed again to an RCD510.

When I had the RNS installed, the clock was to the right of the MFD display with an arrow to the left.  With the RCD installed, the clock has stayed on the right and not centered like when I first got the car.  Hopefully that makes sense!  What I want to know is how do I get the clock to centre again?

Also, I have just found my iPod that I thought I had lost so have been using that in the car.  I have the standard VW iPod kit in the glovebox, am I right in thinking that to get full iPod control I just need to change this for the MDI?

Thanks

Did you code the RNS 510 in properly? Just wondering when you removed it if the Navigation module [37] is still checked in VCDS, and so the MFD is waiting for a signal from the nav unit (which is obviously no longer present).

Try unticking module [37] Navigation in the Can Gateway and see if that cures it.

Hi

Thanks for the suggestion.

Just checked with VCDS & navigation was already unticked.
