New sline split rims

Well bit the bullet went and bought these this morning from a chap locally 4 19'' bbs rs861's genuine 2 piece split rims got them for a  total of 400quid :jumpmove: Now the next thing is they are in need of a refurb soo the work began as soon as I arrived home got the karcher out blasted them then got stuck in about them with autosmart non acidic wheel cleaner and a brush now look like this and aim to get them on the car for Gti in june :happy2:

Thanks matey :happy2: Just need to find a place to refurb then now?! The 1 that has been split is the original audi polished wheel where as the other 3 have been painted would like them back to standard audi style! They are all pretty straight though  and I no I'll need to spend a bit getting them right

Will look great on your car mate! I was looking at those on e-bay but sticking to 19" BBS CH just need to find another 2 as have sourced 2 off e-bay for cheap money! What size tyres are you going for?

Yeah thats where I found them last night turned out the seller only stayed 15mile down the road from home phoned him this morning bought arrived at 11.30 bought at 11.35am :laugh: :drool:!! Em not sure bud haven't even thought of tyre's yet more focused on finding a good place to get them refurbed?!! :confused:

Thanks for all the comments guys :happy2: Been yearing for these for ages such a gorgeous wheel :love: :drool:  Just been on Wrc wheel repairs webpage there from Preston and seem to be a respectable company who can get them looking like new I'll phone them on Monday Can see me taking them down to get done lol :laugh:

are you going for a polished lip ?, if so think seriously about it, if you dont lacquer it they need constant polishing as they go Dull very quickly, also if you lacquer a polished lip it will most probably lift an peel before too long as water gets into the split part and eats underneath and into the lacquer

They are pretty much the perfect wheel for the MK5!!!! And for £400!!!!!!! Wow! Nice buy!!  :smiley: :smiley:

You could also try A1 wheels in Wolverhampton.

The did our Polo GTI rims, to the same condition at Blu-182's.

The wife is well pleased with them. :happy2:
