Peeved off with VW
« on: December 17, 2010, 12:34:07 pm »
So some of you may have seen the component in my drivers door failed, meaning i couldn't open the fuel, windows, lock etc...

VW Customer S, said goodwill, it shouldn't have failed etc...
VW Bushey/Watford are saying nope, no good will, its out of warranty wasn't bought from us (even tho my last golf was) and tell me to speak to CS again. They want over £400 to supply and fit this stupid part!

NOT happy at all, will NEVER buy a VW from them again and maybe not from anywhere. Always have issues and fed up of the hassle!

rant

If VW have said they will replace it as a good will, surely you can use a different dealer to fit the part? After all, the dealer will be refunded the labour and parts costs from VW.

.
You could have been treated like this by any car brand dealer. It's not unique to VW so why spoil your future choices of cars because of it?

Always best to put everything in writing (email is fine) when the subject is an issue.

Steve the part is only £170 and fitting is a doddle just taking the door card off and replacing. So why they want to charge you £400 is behond me

Try and find another dealer to sort it out, See if VWCS can check if there is another dealer in your area or if VWCS can speak to the current dealer and get this sorted out,

Take the names of every person you speak to and don't be scared to splash watchdog and the local rag about, last thing they want is there name been given a black flag.
