This looks like an absolute bargain compared to the Golf R!

If you specced up a Golf R to the same as this You'd be spending almost the same amount and you'd still have the 6 speed DSG and a 2.0TFSI. Then you'd have to get it to stage 2+ for the same turn of speed.

I'm in awe :surprised:

Looks like they've got most things covered. To be honest apart from the RS3 specific items it's pretty similar to the current base spec of the S3.

Think I would be gutted if I had just stumped up the ££££ for a new s3 as this thing is going to look meaner on the road and sound so much better than a 4 pot

Depends what you want from a car.

The only appeal over the S3 is the extra power really. Also an S3 is a good few £k cheaper (depending on spec) so it will be down to what people can afford as well.

There's quite a difference between the price of the two. A little like being gutted you just bought a GTi when actually you could have bought the R.

I'm certainly not gutted, I couldn't have afforded the extra. Sure, I'd like the RS3 but I have other priorities.
