i have done it when i worked for Honda and mitsubishi if i ever saw someone looking at a car i would ask if they needed any help or info on the car they were looking and if they said yes just grabbed a salesman as i worked in part dept. It only take 2 secs to ask if they need any help

Mods yes but way too many to stick in this little box

I've always found the opposite when i have been in Audi Garages. I even got a test drive in an RS6 from one of them.

It was the BMW garages that i've been in that were the shockers. Only once have i been in a BMW garage were a salesman bent over backwards to help. Mind you i think he felt bad as i told him i was looking at a 535D Touring and he said "Approved Used i take it?" When i replied "Er no! New thank you very much" he couldn't apologise enough. The thing with BMW is, for example, I sat in a 535D Touring and then sat in and M5 Touring and i said to the salesman the M5 doesn't feel £30k more expensive. Whereas the Audi RS6 felt £30k more expensive than an A6 Le Mans. It's hard to explain and it may just be I'm biased towards the Olympic Logo I have a feeling that the M1 won't feel however many £k more expensive than a 135i. All my opinion of course.

But i do think Audi are on to a winner with this one. £40k for that car with that engine and that spec is a very good price imho.

why bigger tyres on the front surely that can't be right

I guess its due to controlling the amount of understeer.  a bigger rear tyre would outgrip the fronts so it would understeer more at  the limit.  If they have gone for a bigger front id guess it was because it was understeering a bit more than they wanted, Easiest solution is give the front end more grip with a bigger tyre.

I'm absolutely convinced the 1M will trounce the RS3 in every area bar practicality. It's what I'm lusting after at the moment!

too much VAG brand snobbery on here :innocent:.  good to see people willing to accept VAG arent the best at everything.  VAG do all rounders IMO.  BMW do driving dynamics.  That said id probably have the RS3 though,

BMW also do all rounders, dont let their marketing department make you think otherwise.

Porsche, ferrari, lotus, they do driving dynamics.

So what colour John?

Got to say found Audi (Harold Wood, Essex) very good, they have rung with updates and just got my build date for the A1 (week 1). My first new Audi, always had BM's & VW, shold be interesting to compare  :happy2:
