The BBC has access to the best fixers across the world. My Wife's job is to arrange the safe passage of journalists and reporters for the BBC's flagship current affairs programme, plus their new investigations unit, which breaks story's through channels such as Panorama etc. It's certainly dangerous, and the risk assessment for Topgear would have been murderous, but really, how often to you hear of journalists coming to harm?

Wasn't amazing as a TG challenge. As a trip abroad, it was definitely amazing. Better than some of the other specials IMO.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

No they started out in Kurdish northern Iraq but close to a town known for trouble. It was quite good but nothing from them not seen before and I switched over to a Bruce Willis movie before the end.
