the M5 is a BIG heavy car, 1795kg so standard 219Hp/ton @ 440Hp thats 245hp/ton.

Assuming 360hp max for the golf @ 1357kg  that's 265Hp/ton..  Even using the max k04 from JKMs which was 330hp that would still equate to 243Hp/ton.  so its not suprising really.

much more interesting with the 135i though.  any ideas on the output/modifications on this.  not sure what this stage 3 is?

I wonder what the guy in the ford said at the end of the video???? Perhaps it was "I've just wasted £3000 on a remap and modifying, and I still can't beat a Gti!!

oh there would have been excuses.  there always is.  I kept up with a guy in works new FRS in my stage 2+ vRS.  he WAS not happy at all.  Especially when i lied and told him it was only stage 2 and about 260Hp   apparently they gain much more Hp after a few thousand miles once they are broken in.......

ED30s are brilliant little cars. I'm guessing the Cupra MK2 would be the same?

doubt there's much in it, power to weight and the eve will have rather large turbo lag and transmission losses at a guess.(based on a 30 to 130 sprint)

Very similar from what I have heard.. Poverty has had first hand experience with a 400bhp EVO IIRC in his manual Cupra and they were very similar. So DSG would obviously help..
Wouldn't fancy my chances against one off the lights though..

ive driven an FQ 300 and Fq 360 Evo X.  great handling car and quick when on full boost.  but just the same as the Impreza Wr1,  they have horrific lag when off boost.
