400Hp FRS racing the BMW M5 Taxi

check out this jamsport focus RS.  

thats pretty impressive, especially when you consider those M5 ring taxis have uprated brakes and suspension driven by people who pretty much no that track more than anyone else, and lets be fiur, the ring taxis dont hang about and bully people out of their way.  The M5 looks really on a knife edge at that speed, the FRS on just lowering springs looked pretty comfortable, with no traction issues with 400hp

Compomotive wheels 9 x18
Toyo R888 265/35/18
Standard dampers with standard reduced height springs (Now being fitted with KW Clubsport coilovers,
JAM-Sport 362mm discs and AP Racing 6 pots,
Ferodo DS2500 pads,
JAM-Sport JS450 engine conversion,
Running near standard boost on this run = 400bhp/ 440lbft
Best lap of the weekend in heavy traffic was 8.15

you would still be happy if you caught one and went past, anyway, 8:15 in that aint ought to go on about.

looks like its got 4 in it.  you can see right through the centre of the rear window.  either way its still a 500hp+ track prepared M5 driven by a racing driver.  and there is a FWD car with minimal chassis mods staying with it through the bends.  Also you know when they are show boating as they go sideways everywhere.  That didnt look much like show boating to me there.

I followed Sabine around at the 'ring in the M5 taxi for almost a full lap and she was certainly showboating to the max, biiiiig tailslides with Scandinavian flicks into the corners - marvellous stuff, but it doesn't make for fast laps. I could have passed her more than once, but it was more fun staying behind and watching the 'ring mistress in full flow

she almost cleaned me off the track.  came up behind me like i was stationary, then almost sideways up the inside of the track. i had two wheels in the dirt  to avoid her

Looks to me like the M5 was miles quicker in the straights, and in the corners was being a little more sensible and cautious with the traffic.

Also looks like the M5 let the RS through!

never really timed myself tbh.  I was only bluefin stage 2 @ the time so pushing about 250Hp @ best.  Used to use the dash clock and that was it, so not accurate, but stopped me being an idiot i was normally in the high 8's lowish 9s.  Thing is if i had tits in the way or bikes i used to just slow down and let em past.  I like my space for when im pushing it
