Revo Select Plus help and confusion
« on: December 24, 2010, 03:58:24 pm »
Hi,

I have purchased a Select Plus switch from another forum member and have a couple of question for which I would be grateful for any help and advice.

I can conect to the switch from the USB on my laptop no problem and read the current settings. The problem that I have is that even when the selector is set at '0' and I connect to the car via the switch/laptop link to read the current Revo settings from the ECU, I get this after I click 'Acquire'.....

Anyone know if this is something I am doing wrong or an incompatibility with my TFSI (Mk2 Octavia)? I have wiggled and checked the connections.

Also the switch has settings of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, A, B, C and 9.  I get 0 (communication) and A, B, C for the user defined settings but what do Performance 1 & 2 map to and what are the rest of the settings?

I have the user manual but it doesn't really explain this very well imho

Marry Christmas  :santa:

Did you read the manual? Everything has to be switched on in the correct order. As for the letters and numbers, look at the sticker on the back of the unit.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

The switch may need updating.

Ignition on?

Thanks Chaps,

Yes, the ignition was on and I have been following the most recent user guide and connecting everything in order. I heard about the sticker on the back of the unit but, alas, mine doesn't have one

Ian - I have software version 1.05 which may suggest older firmware. I'll google it to see how I update the firmware

I hate to be a pain but could someone let me know what that sticker says so I can make up my own.

Thanks  :happy2:

You can't update the firmware of the switch Dave.

I had a similar issue to you when I bought a select plus switch. You will have to send it back to REVO for them to update.

The settings are

0 - Communication
1 - REVO Stock
2 - Generic performance settings. (B6 T2 F9 iirc)
3 - Anti-Theft on (disables accelerator)
4 - Anti-Theft off
A,B,C - user presets

Thanks again, Carl  :happy2:

I am in no rush as I won't be disconnecting the battery or losing the settings any time in the near future. JKM let me know the current settings even if I did lose it. In fact, that K04 is a bit of a handful in this weather...probably be a good thing if I had tame settings!!

I'll send it back to Revo and see if some nice person can help.

Have a great Christmas and New Year!  :xmassmiley: :santa:
