evo is always worth buying, the only car mag worth buying tbh, as for the golf r, it got three and a half stars which is rubbish. dont like the 4wd (as its not its fwd) and dont seem to like dsg( because its boring) :signLOL: to be honest was never gonna compete with the sti and evo in terms of driving but thats not what its gonna be bought for, like all golfs its an everyday car, because that what they do best.

You'll need a passenger ride in the RS3 or TT-RS - preferrably a mapped one
Golf R gone.

im not saying i dont like the golf r cos i do, i would have it over the others, what im saying is the none of the above are gonna beat the sti or evo in terms of having a blast, but yeah i will have a ride in the rs3 when you get it

My guess is 3rd out of 3 in the test, it's overpriced and you should save money by getting a GTI instead??

evo is a about drivers cars, they dont worry about mpg, boot space, comfort etc.., hence why some cars get bad reviews, not a pile of wank is it. and again it was easy to work out that golf r would not win that test, if you want to know about how a car is to own and live with buy what car, if you want a drivers car buy evo.

Here here!

Childish comments like the above should be kept to ones self.

EVO is THE best Car Magazine available to buy at the moment.

As was Performance Car back in the 80's which EVO kinda sprang from.

Their reviews of Audi and VW cars are fairly predictable, but then so are Audi and VW cars, so it's hardly a surprise!

They seem pretty fond of their TT-RS long-termer, it just doesn't seem to be a car they have fallen in love with. The RS5 on the other hand, well they absolutely hated it!

Must be a great job writing for the mag!

EGO magazine is a pile of wank. Im not saying this because VAGs dont do too well, I couldnt care less, but what exactly do you learn new from reading the evo mag? I can summarise to you what they would say if the did a test against a 997.2 gt3 rs vs the 458 italia, because quite frankly it wont be all that much different from when they did the f430 vs 997 gt3 rs.

Plus unless we win the lottery its unlikely any of us will ever be able to afford 97% of the cars they rave on about in that mag.

Whatcar isnt a car enthusiasts mag either its a guide for people who arent really interested in cars but need help deciding on what to buy next.

The germans do car magazines the best, they do all types of cars, with proper data, info and statistics that they have achieved themselves instead of quoting the MF claims
