most people on here arent really too keen on them mate. i think theres a few with it but not many. If it were me i'd get a decent induction kit and a remap and the sound is awesome. ive got an ITG maxogen and standard dv and it sound possesed. :happy2:

let us know mate as ive always been a bit put off by what everyone has said but the end of the day its personal preference. My mk4 turbo had a atmospheric and i miss it a bit but then love the extra power of the mk5 so forgotten about the noise.  :driver:

i was given one.  fitted it and took it off about a week later, because it makes you look  like a tool.  Having it dump air at full revs sounds good. i can deal with that, but when its dumping air with a huge whosh when crawling around town at low speeds its embarassing.

Get an induction kit, get some good gains in power as well as the whoosh, but it only does that when your giving it some

Just fitting a good CAI will give you the exact same noise. Vw designed it to be a internal dump for a reason and changing it to atmospheric can't be a good thing!! Iv got a video of mine it's just the same and you will get better benefits with a proper CAI  :happy2:

It's not brilliant quality but I phone's arnt really up to the job ha.
