R32
« on: January 06, 2011, 06:09:24 pm »
Just wanted to say hi and introduce you to my R32. I have learnt lots already from this site and look forward to being an active member.

Was a tough decision between an ED30 and an R32 but the 4WD and engine noise and character won the day.............. So apologies it's not a GTI !

Picked up the R on 13th December, it's a 1 owner FVWSH 3dr 56 plate in reflex silver, with DSG - NAV - Sunroof - Highline Computer - Leather - Heated Seats - Arm rest - Ipod Prep - MFSW - Luxury Pack - Parking Sensors - winterpack - storage pack

I think the only options missing are cruise and the Recaro seats. I have just bought the Cruise Retrofit and am on the hunt for some seats. Mods wise some springs, 19"'s and a Milltek should keep me happy for a long while

Went everywhere in it the first few weeks and managed to get it filthy so a freezing wash was in order !

Only mod I've made so far is to do the auto boot pop mod which is brilliant !

And finally my Apex -30mm springs arrived yesterday  :happy2:

Looks great, bit like my R32 wannabe, though you should be ashamed, I was led to believe it was impossible to make a silver GTI look dirty.

Like it! I looked at a silver 3 door, but the dealer made it clear he didn't want my car and gave me a well below book part-ex offer for it and I walked. Probably a good thing really, as the missus had expressly told me to not get silver or 3 door!

Did the same decision making when choosing the Edition 30..... Thought the Ed30 would be more exclusive!

The boot pop is a mod i quite fancy......can you advise how and what bits are required...i have seen it somewhere else but cant find it now

Might get the wife an R32 instead of her Mini  :signLOL:

Thanks for all the comments  :happy2:

I found all the boot pop information on here !

This is what you need

And here are the list of parts.

2 x 6Y0 827 550 C (Skoda Fabia gas springs)
2 x 1K8 827 761 C (Scirocco bumpers)
2 x 1J6 827 439 A (Seat Leon ball pins)

I got all my parts from TPS, and coding done at the Phirm in Hook where they also turned on one touch unlocking for all the doors and boot.

Postman came today

Definitely need more pics Monkey ^  Welcome.

The .:R looks extremely tasty and the mods you have planned are exactly the kind of subtle things I'd purchase  :drinking:

Cheers ! Thanks for that, I spent less than I'd planned on the car so had a bit of left over budget so the mods will get done quicker than I'd planned now

Big fan of the R32 in silver - looks awesome! The boot is pretty sweet.. might have to invest myself!
