« on: January 06, 2011, 06:24:35 pm »
Misses and all my mates started back work today, since I still have another couple days I decided to get the In-pro Smoked Indicators fitted that I got from Brian aka Gobbleplease.
Gave her a quick wash to get the worst of the salt and other Sh!t the winter weather has put on the roads off and took some pics.

Cheers mate, indicators wasnt as easy as I thought it was gonna be, hardest part was removing the mirror housing, the 1st clip is easy but theres a clip uv got to try and get to through a wee hole that the wires for the mirror comes through not so easy. ended up using a small flat screwdriver to release the clip and plastic cake decorating tool to pry the casing off. (what the misses doesnt know, cant hurt her, lol) 2nd clip is just a pain cos u cant see it.

I used this tutorial: http://golfgtiguides.co.uk/guides/remove-mk5-wing-mirror-and-change-indicator/

took me a good 30/45 mins to get the 1st one done, that said the 2nd one was done in about 10/15mins, just as long as u take ur time just about any1 could do it.

Think it sets the tinted windows off a little bit more, really impressed with them.

Love some of those shots.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
