I have read on a MK4 forum, that you can get issues with the Alarm and the Iterior lights can stop working when the drivers side door module goes?

I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is the same case for the mk5?

The only interior lights that work are the footwell lights, I have replaced the fuses and this has not made a difference.

Hi
due to the complexity of the car there is no point speculating what is wrong. So my advice would be to have your car scanned with Vag-com to point you in the direction of the fault.
