RS6 / Brembo 8piston caliper, mounting parts?

Hello guys.

I have a pair of  RS 6/Brembo 8 piston calipers that i want to mount on my Seat leon cupra 2008.  the calipers come from a 2003/4 RS6.
sorry not a golf but at least same platform :)
I also have the RS6+ discs  365mm discs.

I'm looking for someone that can fabricate or knows where to buy the mounting parts?
Bracket for the caliper and i also read that i will need a spacer or shims for the disc to get it centered?

and does someone know about how much it would cost to get them painted? i also have a R32 rearbrakes that i want to paint the calipers so they all 4 are the same color.

Would appreciate all help i can get :)

DaveB1970 is the guy to talk to, he is downsizing his involvement in brakes, but he might be able to point you to someone that can make the parts you need

Before you go into buying parts, it might be worth doing the calcs to see if it is a realistic option? I don't think the master cylinder is big enough to cope with that type of caliper. Even the 6-pot kits specifically designed for the Golf platform use very small pistons to account for what the M/S can provide.

hmm ok i understand.
I've also read both that they will work great and also some saying that maybe the mastercylinder will be to small?
If it is too smal is there anyway bolt on to change it to a bigger? 

i  Already got the calipers and discs. i also have the R32 rear brakes that i was about to moun at the same time if i can get in touch of the mounting parts for the fronts.

What will happen if the mastercylinder will be to small?

If it is too small, your pedal will pretty much hit the floor before the brakes start working and they'll feel very on/off.

You've got to be careful on advice on forums, as people don't generally like to admit they've made a mistake - they'll tell you something is the best thing in the world, even if it is secretly crap. Likewise some tuners selling things will do the same... People have tried a similar caliper off the Porsche Cayenne and it's terrible, doesn't stop people selling the kits.

I would first look at how big the M/S is on the RS6 and how big the pistons are on the calipers. I don't know if you can upgrade the M/S though?

When doing stuff like this, I take forums and tuners with a pinch of salt and look to what works in motorsport, there's very few people unbiased and knowledgeable enough. Maybe look at what the SuperCopa cars run?? I'm sure they have 362/6-pots and everything else will be available from SeatSport, they might run a custom pedal box meaning you could come up with a decent hybrid.

Dave is very clued up, he will help you with the calcs I'm sure - if they look feasible, then he knows a good few people who can help with the engineering.

I have your email but with you making the title of the thread accurately I thought I might answer here so everybody can see what the best way is to proceed.

You have to machine the caliper carriers already attached to the RS6 / RS4 calipers, that then centres the disc in the caliper.

In addition the centre bore of the Audi disc is 68mm where you need 65mm on the golf so you need a very thin spigot ring manufacturing which also reflects a small radius on its lower side so it fits correctly, in addition you will also need a specially machined expanding collet as the RS6 disc has no mounting hole we have to create one. And finally you also need to reverse the calipers from leading to lagging by reversing the connecting pipes, this can go very easily or it can be a nightmare and you have a pair of written off calipers on your hands.

Its all doable - I have the mounting parts either in stock or the drawings for them, we have a drawing for the carrier machining.

Problem being I am guessing you are not in the UK.

I would also warn you that the discs are never very easily transferred and nearly always are warped or damaged which is why they were the ebay bargain in the first place.

Just edited to say the total piston surface area of the RS4/RS6/R8 calipers is 60 square centimetres thats about 20% over optimal which is around 49 sq cm, that is a lot but Im guessing they'll be more decorative than Nurburgring! Tony D's description of the pedal is accurate

They look smart as buggery! Searched for Illektronic but found nothing lol, Really want a big brake kit but don't want to go spending £100's of quids lol, they do look sexy though make sure you do it despite the costs haha :D

Yes you right im not from UK. I live in Sweden.

I cant find anyone here in Sweden or so that can help me.
Is it possible to send the calipers and so to someone in UK that can help me? Do you have time?
About how much would it cost?

The pic looks really awesome!! Just the color i would like to paint mine in also :D
The same there i cant find anyone that can or will help me with taking them apart and paint them :/

Anything is possible just depends on budget If I did take them on it would be three month maybe two.

The calipers above were done by me and eventually made their way to Australia
