Right gents this is where I'm at.

I have download software that VRS Carl said to download.

I have cleared the disc, darren send.

Downloaded a trial version of Nero Burn.

Downloaded a version of WinRAR

Opened software in WinRAR, dragged img across to the NERO software window, burnt image to DVD, Took DVD to car loaded it into the RNS510 and what do you know, it's not now doing the update.

Working a treat

So a big thankyou chaps.

Firstly change your clock back to 24hr see if that cures it. You may have to re-install the software.

If not try this - Remove the disc Press Setup, Eject & I (or microphone if your top right button is a mic symbol)

This will hopefully give it a kick up the hoop

Right re-installed the SW, got the screen to say it was successful, then the RNS re started itself came up with the VW logo screen and then went blank, nothing at all on screen.

So what to do.......................

So I thought I'd load the map DVD into the drive and see if that made any difference, so still with the RNS blank but powered on, I slipped the DVD in and all of a sudden the RNS spring to life  :surprised:, Radio and then checked the maps all is well.

Oohh and Darren  :notworthy:....... the MFSW is now working with the RNS510, so it was the firmware in the end  :happy2:

So all good now

Thanks very much for all the support and help chaps  :drinking:

Glad it's all sorted mate.

Sometimes after firmware updates they can take a bit to restart (longest i've seen one go was almost 5 mins).

Enjoy  :happy2:
