Big Exeter Meet
« on: January 13, 2011, 01:24:47 pm »
Hello guys and girls,

I mentioned this meet in my thread and its generated some interest so I thought I best put this up as a meet for everyone else.

Its organised via the SWDUBS.CO.UK website and is for all sorts of dubs air and water cooled.

Sunday January 23rd 2011
1130am
Moto services, Exeter, J30 M5
There will be a cruise to somewhere coastal and there is mention of a Golf+ coverage.

Be great to meet up with a few of you and represent the mk5  :pomppomp:

Thanks for posting it here, James - You'll get more attention than buried in your car thread  :happy2:

Dunno yet if I can make it but hope to. Is it ok just to turn up?

Yeah, it'll be fine just to turn up Robin.
This meet is gathering a bit of pace now, a couple of guys I know well have mentioned it over on cupranet and there's also a link to it now on uk-mkivs; and that's just the forums I've visited in the last 10 mins!!

Sounds like it could be a big meet. I've checked and I'm free on 23rd so should make it providing it doesn't snow or something silly. Look forward to putting more faces to weird names!  :happy2:

....Pah! I sometimes drive 300 mile round trips to meets

I guess it's how I've managed to clock up 90,000 miles.

Some meets are worth it  :happy2:

True. I did all the big meets last year. The ed30 is a tad more pricey on fuel mind you!

Where are you based mate?

....About 50 miles east, so not far.

Yep, V-Power is costing around £1.40 at the moment but I'm not going to let the basturds grind me down.

Not too bad then. Think I bumped into you at a shell services year before last on the way to one of the shows. Would've been in my red polo GTI back then!

Hopefully see everyone Sunday!

....I've often been approached by 'strangers' at Shell stations (I exclusively use V-Power) and also often done the approaching!

I vaguely remember briefly meeting you, I think. Hope to see you Sunday. Weather looks hopeful.
