Always toy with the idea of a private plate. A few years ago I held back from buying S7 VYD (STEVEY D) tacky yes but would have hid the age of my cars and all for £249.

I think they all take offers they are only on retention so they just text the seller about your offer. When i got mine i saw it for £ 1100 and thought i would buy that for £ 500 made an offer of £450 and got a yes straight away.

You will find the same number advertised at different prices with different companies. Reg Transfers own a large number of Numbers and have bought them from DVLA auctions so you can see what they paid. Rememebr they had to pay extras ontop of the hammer price. The ones they own you will have to pay VAT on. I have seen numbers for sale with them for 10 years plus with my initials but i only want specific ones .DVLA will also be selling numbers over the next ten years or more at auction . There are still large numbers of numbers not issued yet. The holders of large stocks of numbers have to hold all the similar numbers to keep te value of their stock. The laws of supply and demand should gradually drop the prices eventually due to there only being a certain number of people who want private numbers.

I am after RG or RJG with the numbers  63 , 136 or 1963. I will pay nearly 5 figures for the one i really want which hasn't been issued yet

Any links to private persons with a number that i am after will benefit from a reward Ifi make the purchase:happy2:
