Please explain some phrases

Im new here but I'm pretty clues up with my VW's but the names you guys come out with has baffled me!
Only a few if you'd be so kind! And please if there are some I've missed please help  :signLOL:
Highline dash?-to me this means passat!
Hfpf-(is that the correct name?) I don't have a scooby what this means
Gateway-canbus?
Rns-radio?
Twintercooler-a double front mount intercooler :ashamed:

Lol I keep reading threads and pretending I know what your talking about but the truth is I dont!

Hpfp = high pressure fuel pump
Canbus gateway = an electronic module that is a central hub for electronic signals from tha canbus data system ( google canbus for more info)

Twintercooler= an extra intercooler in addition to your standard one, made by forge motorsport

Highline dash= higher spec display in the centre of the dash cluster between speedo and rpm counter

RNS = RNS510 touch screen sat nav double din head unit with 30G hard drive!  :happy2: (aka the dogs danglies!)

Highline and canbus/gateway have been covered extensively in threads.

Best thing is to keep reading. Also, search for threads and have a read eg search for twintercooler but tick topic titles to limit the searches to threads with the search subject in the title. Makes it more manageable.

There's lots of useful info but you have to put the effort in to find it. Stick around for a bit longer, have a read of members' rides threads and it'll come together.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

!  Some have highline and some midline, it's not a software download it's a an actual different unit in the dash

As a tech at Listers I'm quite worried you don't know what these terms mean!! I thought Terry was pretty good at his training for his staff!
