Electric window malfunction??
« on: January 19, 2011, 02:11:23 pm »

Folks

Woke up this morning to both front windows being fully down - am i missing something or is this a known problem?

It was frosty in Belfast last night but i'd need to stop this happening again.

Any help or advice welcomed.

Pretty sure this was a (reasonably) common issue on early model GTIs. Is yours and early one?

If memory serves it was fixed with  a software update, speak to your local dealer.

Indeed it is a known issue. Here's a couple of threads to have a look at:

That should give you some info on sorting it out. There is an update for this fault, it should be easily available through your local dealer.
If you have access to VCDS you should scan for a possible window regulator fault as well.
