Loose pipe in Gti engine bay, Help please, Pictures added
« on: January 24, 2011, 04:09:56 pm »
Hi Guys,

I have a loose pipe in the engine bay on the left hand side, its coming off the top of the metal box which I think is something to do with the oil catch tank but not entirely sure.

I've uploaded some pictures of the loose pipe and a pipe which it seems it should be going to by the coolant bottle.

To be totally honest I have no idea what i'm looking at so could someone pleae expalain what my issue is and what I need to do to resolve it.

Would it be a bad idea to drive the car in the current state??

Many Thanks
Lucky :happy2:

It looks like the one to the charcoal canister.  Just push it back on.

I tried pushing it on top of the plastic pipe as I presumed that is where it went but it didn't seem to fit tightly and just wobbled about, unless its meant to click into it then I should of just pushed a little harder, Thanks

It is a push connector but it should be a good fit.
