is it only one sided? as looking at google earth there is what looks like a service station but its only north bound and is nearer stoke on trent. also there is another one near stafford but its not built yet? it looks like a service station but is a construction site on the pic? is the services newas this may be it??

Stone is about halfway between Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent or between J14 and J15 on the M6.

But why not!? I probably won't feel like a cruise though - Just lunch for me

Now that there is dedication to the cause.  is there no one you can pick up on the way to share your driving with 

....I've often driven more than 700 miles in one session (across Europe) and with only a couple of food & bev breaks. So, it's not a problem. I do find that driving in the UK is much more tiring because of so many more speed restrictions and the covert detection methods.




^ On second thoughts, can I choose my own co-driver?

Will have to try and get off work also, but should be ok.

Shirehorse is a nice Pub, theres an Audi main dealer opposite to have a nose around, and if you wanted can come to where i work which is 1 minute away.
