Saturday the 29/11/08 Stafford services M6 north 12:30pm

I think its between junction 14 - 15 the original plan was to meet here and go for a drive down the A50 stop half way down for lunch
But Rob who lives in the area suggested a different pub so i think the A50 drive has gone out the window and it is just a meet at the service station and then move onto the pub.    :grouphug:

this is wot i was on about b4, to do that we have to travel south down to JKT 14 do a U turn, up to servs, meet talk look, jump back on M6 north to JKT 15 do another U turn south to 14 again, turn left to the pub. i was saying its probly best just going to the pub (dont know its name)

Yes you are correct Billy but the pub was just a suggestion i have only met up once before and the best bit of the meet was the cruise down the motorway. since this suggestion RR said he didn't fancy driving and more driving and then Rob appeared and told us of a good pub, so that appears to be what we are doing now. Any more suggestions are welcome the only thing set in stone at the minute is time and place.

....

I think that quite a few of us fancy taking up Rob's kind offer to see his workshop where there are some particularly nice motors.

I don't mind a cruise up/down the M'way to a pub lunch - I just don't fancy a long cross-country cruise after my 3.5hr journey.

Here you go TC, I believe this is what RR is referring to: -

Will have to try and get off work also, but should be ok.

Shirehorse is a nice Pub, theres an Audi main dealer opposite to have a nose around, and if you wanted can come to where i work which is 1 minute away.

Rob

So is it easier to meet at the Shire Horse rather than the Services??

Does anyone have the postcode of this new meeting point the Shirehorse then so we can publish it to those attending the meet.

The Shire Horse (Chef & Brewer Pub) from google says Hurricane Close, Stafford, ST16 1GZ

Also appears as a favored meeting place for Club Audi members (Last Sunday of the Month)
