MFD just packed up !
« on: January 22, 2011, 04:42:12 pm »
Hi All,

I have just returned from the shops, driving along and my MFD just turned off with a line across the display which slowly faded away.

Is this a common fault and is it easily fixed?

Any help would be really appreciated!

Cheers
Lee

Mine has done this twice in the past year but turning the car off then back on sorted it out!!! No idea why it does it but it's not done it for 6 months

Not a scientific resolution but try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins.  Sometimes they 'lock up'.

Hi Chaps,

Thanks for reply.

Yes, left the car locked up for about an hour.  Popped out and it was fine, Phew big sigh of relief!!
