Brake fluid cap?

Hi folks,

Just wondering how to fix/replace this - My brake fluid cap seems to be broken as i can remove the top part(the sensor) with the cap still being screwed on  :confused:. Any one have any idea what to do? I've took it to VW and had pads and discs done recently and they didn't mention anything was wrong with it.

Is it normal to be loose or will i need to replace it?
