Which Order
« on: January 25, 2011, 11:04:34 am »
I've got some AG Super Resin Polish and some AG Ultra Deep Shine Car Polish.

Do I use them both together and if so in which order or only one or the other?  My motor hasn't been waxed/polished for a while so it's in need of some treatment.

Cheers Fellas

Andy

I would say use one or the other and then use some AG Extra Gloss Protection

Both are the same product - polish!

SRP is generally good polish and works well if handpolished. UDS is supposed to be for darker cars but isn't used as much. Given that you should only polish two or three times a year, you can try one product for six months and then use the other for six months. Bear in mind the prep work that needs to go before it (wash, clay, dry) for best results.

Finish with a wax or sealant of your choice. AG products tend to work together well so you can apply SRP or UDS, followed by say AG EGP sealant or AG HD wax. Both available from halfords.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I was waiting for someone at work so was on the forum and saw the post! Nothing ninja about it.  :innocent:

Besides, there are far more knowledgable people on here - JPC, keith, autoperfection etc. They know about detailing stuff for a living!
