Thank you very much.  :notworthy:
I am not quite where I want to be concerning my driving skills but I plan to improve in the near future. I am thinking of taking some more advanced driving lessons from one very good Romanian driver.
I'll see how it fits my budget and my schedule.

Another nice lap Rex, I have done a good few laps of the nordschleiffe but you are on top of your game!

At 4.49 into Ex Muhle - any car seems prone to oversteer into here. I attacked it like I would the similar bend at Cadwell Park in England - as the steep incline really slows you down there and you can throw it in...Ex Muhle is similar but doesnt let you get away with as much turn in as you would expect.!

Great lap tho...I love the M3 being fended off around the bits where it counts! :happy2:

Well guys, there's another video from the August 2011 trip that I uploaded some time ago on youtube but I haven't shared it here. I thought there is no sense in posting another video... Well, now I changed my mind and I think this post could possibly help some forum members...

So... this is the last lap of the August 2011 trip:

And some interesting things about the video:
- the old pit lanes are opened because of some maintenance work  :driver:.
- the weather is totally different at the start of the lap (some very light rain) and mid lap (sunshine and dry track).
- and the most important thing, the reason why I am showing this video is because of the VW MK2 that overtakes me at "Angst Kurve" (min 6.30). I tried to stay with the MK2 but he was too fast for me.
Before the Nring trip and before I go on any track I am watching videos of that track. While preparing for the Nurburgring I came across these videos: http://vimeo.com/channels/nordschleife. Well, when I saw my and I saw how fast the MK2 was I wondered if this car was Nigel's car. Than I found his build thread (http://www.northloop.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?4332-Nigels-2nd-Golf-MK2-Trackcar.) and I came to realize that it was him.
My point is that if you guys are interested to learn the Nordschleife the above link is the best. Also if you have some questions I am sure Nigel will help (he even gave me a complete and very critical feedback of my best lap).

All the best!

I'm glad it's available but...who makes the software for it ? They must have tested it on a car before releasing (at least I hope) so someone must have made the software for them !

For the twincharger only  :sad1:
I guess nobody is crazy enough to modify my engine for more power and track use. Well, almost nobody...

And one small update: the Kerscher front fenders (25mm wider) have arrived !

Here is how they look:

One front fender weighs:

The Kersher kit also comes with Mastic, rivets and the inner wheel arch extension:

Can't wait to get them fitted (it will only happen mid February).
Thanks for watching!

Nice you have enough space for wide wheels, Rex.  :happy2:

Jake, guess you already had the Seibon fenders. Still unsatisfied?

Yes, with the TT mk 2 arms i do not have enough clearance, and besides after seeing Teff's fenders and how flush they were with the bumper, the Seibon look less than good in comparison.
And as i have chipped the CF where the left fender meets the bumper they need fixing anyway, so why not go for the wider solution while i'm at it??

Honestly, I can't wait till March to have the other stuff mounted.  :pomppomp:

Sure Jake. I am really curious so see how it all comes together.

Thanks :). I just wanted to get rid of the rubbing issue on the Nurburgring.
And just like you say, I can get some wider wheels. I have my eyes on one 225mm (238mm actual) Kumho slicks  . When the current semislicks are gone I hope to go for some proper slicks.

Good plan! I also bought the Kerscher fenders because I saw how they looked on TEFF's car. I hope the mk5 ones are of the same quality!

Cheers!
