Thank you Holger!  :notworthy:
The truth is that there are some great cars in Romania (like fuscobal's and TEFF's) but I bet there are awesome cars elsewhere also... Maybe Romania is well represented on this UK forum  :happy2:
As I said at the beginning:
...I want to make my car the best it can be, style and performance wise...
I am not sure if I get another chance of modifying a car so much, so all the mods I want will go on this car.

And there are some hot babes in Romania too!

It would seem that perhaps there are more opportunities and resources for modifying cars in Romania than in some other Eastern European countries. Romanian folks are generally very friendly too  :happy2:

. Yup... can't complain about the girls  :happy2:
I think that language is a big plus over here. A lot of people learn English and thus we have accounts on many foreign forums.   This is one of the reasons you see a lot of us on English forums!

Great car Rex! Sorry about the engine problems you had, but still happy hearing that it's ok now!

Good luck!

Ha ha... nice to see you here, my friend!  :drinking:
As you may know, I no longer have an account on vwforum, but I heard you now have a 1.4 TSI Polo GTI
About the engine, I just hope this one lasts at least as long as the old one... I will make a baffled sump to avoid oil circulation issues and than just hope for the best!
But still plenty of mods planed for the rest of the car (as soon as I recover, financially speaking).

I know! Missed your car, so i made an account here :)

That's right about the little one. It's the same with fuscobals. Just different rims. I have the polished ones

I'm subscribed, so keep posting.

Good luck!

A small update...

A couple of weeks ago I change the wheels, going for the summer setup. I am fortunate that I have another daily drive because, otherwise I should have taken a taxi (right now it is snowing in Romania).
I also lowered the car...
I still can lower the rear (a lot):

But I can only lower the front by about 5mm.

Anyway, I like how it looks at the moment...

The car now has 77.777 km and 4.330 km with the "new" engine.

So I just had an oil change (Motul 300v 5w40) and brake fluid (Motul RBF 660) change.
I need to finish the brake ducts (hopefully this weekend) and I am ready for Hungaroring an the end of the next week.
Fingers crossed!

As I previously said, I wanted to finish the brake ducts today... mission completed!

I look the front bumper off to install the air inlets and, with this, I also took a look under the car and around the car...

1. I tried to fix the fitment issue with the Kescher front fender on the right side. I manage to improve the situations...
2. I took a look at the under-tray which has some heat makes on them. I found out that the exhaust is too close to the under tray and it is melting it (because the turbo o my 1.4 TSI is in front of the engine), but no real issues.
3. I installed 10mm hubcentric spacers on the front to fill in the Kerscher front fenders. Now the car looks very nice! Pictures will follow later.
4. I installed the K&N Cold Air Intake for the Hungaroring trip and for my software update.

And here are the brake ducts visible through the front fog grills:

For more information about the brake ducts please visit the Brake ducts topic.

All the best!  :driver:

If you feel a need I'd suggest two ways to fix it:

1.
If you still have the old small stock tray, cut one or both the NACA vents out of it and fit them
to the current big one below/in front of the engine's oil pan.

2.
Get some perforated aluminium sheet and fit it underneath the oil pan/exhaust area this way:

On a side note: The Audi TT-RS has a two-piece undertray with a rear section made of aluminium:

Of course the rear section isn't where you have issues on the 1.4 TSI.

Rex, what spacers and lug-nuts did you use(brand)?
Is there any vibration through the steering wheel after install?
