i think it was the anti glare coating that's all, anyone else ever done the same? Does it really matter that that is not there anymore?

If so where do i get a new screen?

Cheers

I think your right......... does it really matter? Well if it didnt need to be on there, why was it? In normal operation you'll probably be fine but in bright sunlight you may struggle.

As for a new screen try ebay.de or you could try PM'ing Darren (Mortygttdi) as he might know of a source.

If it's an MFD2 then, being non-touchscreen, a screen protector may help if you need the antiglare.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

hi mate mine was the same when i got my car and i just carefully polished the screen with some megs plastx until the coating was completly removed, its a bit fiddly getting into the corners but worth it when done  :happy2:

cant say ive noticed much glare from it in 2+ years,

Brett
