PS3 Hack

Anyone else on here experienced any problems?

I tried to get on modern warfare 2 over the weekend and it is virtually unplayable due to hackers. Looks like a major problem.

I have also noticed some really weird things happening with the game. Trouble signing in, being able to jump 100ft into the air, join a game and immediately being shot time after time etc

Also noticed that my username always appears with the following characters in frontr of it recently ?    ({DT})

I think that means that your actual account has been hacked. You may have got everything unlocked without realising it, unless you had done so already.

Its an absolute joke, ruined a good game. From what i have read the people who have done this are able to hack any game on the system too. Sony dont seem to have a way to fix it so could be the end of the ps3.

What are the implications of my account being hacked ?

I have noticed that all of the addons to the assault rifles are now unlocked all of a sudden and the word 'new' appears after them despite selecting them which would normally make it disappear.

It is not your account as such. I believe all your personal details are safe. It does however mean that it has fully ranked you up and unclocked all of the gun add ons and all of the unlockable titles and emblems. So pretty much completing the online version of the game.

i have done this.

when your in a game and a hacked ps3 is host he can unlock everything for you.

i use it to play the gun game (rotating guns every min) from black ops, but only private.

Playstation released a new fimware yesterday which is currently un hacked, but that will change in sure in the next week.

I was wondering whether having an xbox would be any better?? I dont know if, because you pay for the online content, the hackers had omitted from the online gameplay.

its still been hacked, they just stand to lose more if they get kicked!

Play it for the next week you shouldn't find any hacked games, its far too easy to do it now that why loads of people are doing it!

Black ops hasn't been hacked but its a rubbish game lol

Yeah thats the problem, mw2 is so much better to play than black ops. The different game modes on black ops are good but the gameplay in general is poor.

Back to gt5 i think, got bored of that sooo quickly though.

I do not have any credit card info on the ps network anyway so no issues there. Hopefully Sony will sort this out soon.

No one can access your psn account even with a hacked ps3, its the game they hack when its hosted on their ps3.

Hope they do this soon for GT5 then. Im on level 29 and it's taking ages to get to Level 30 so i can unlock the Redbull X1

Already been done I think.  I can get you a username thats at 40 a spec and b spec.  I would rather complete the game myself than do that.

I just wait for the seasonal events to change then you get loads of xp and credits.  Im level 28.5 so far.  Just doing loads of b-spec.
