IMO dude :P
 :rolleye:

I just always take a legal standpoint on these things, (for some reason)
Also don't forget that number plates are primarily for identification, if it were to get stolen then  ANPR readers on Motorways would not pick up the plates in order to help establish a direction of travel.
That's a fair point and I understand the reasoning, but
cars look more aggressive without the front plate IMO
I ran a mk2 GTI without the Front plate and various other cars
without any attention from the 5-0 :happy2:
plus don't think anyone would have wanted to pinch em

I read in the Paper that an Enzo is the only car exempt from requiring a front Numberplate because there is nowhere to put it.

Another story I heard is that Ducati 748/916 riders were taking theirs off and putting a strip of Yellow with black writing Dyno Label Print Machine Label on the rear plastic behind the seat.

When they got a pull from, as somebody else put it, 'the 5-0'! for no number plate they actually had a number plate just not to the correct specification!

Cue £30 fine and lots saved in Camera fines.

Not condoning in any way as Speed Cameras in 30 and 40 zones are there for a reason but amusing all the same.

Can you get points for having your number plate on the dash or is it just a fine?  My mrs is a copper and she doesn't know, although she did disapprove  :sad1:

Do like what some have done on here and attach it with strong magnets glued to the back of the plate and the back of the grill. Easy to remove and re-attach for pictures and shows e.t.c

Think Top Cat has done this and did a 'How To' on it?!

Fine, £30/£60. Depends how new the ticket book is.

I have done the magnet holder mod, and love the look without off, but it makes it all the nicer as a photo treat or at shows to take it off for that smooth look.
