My Graphite Journey So Far........
« on: June 22, 2011, 07:39:32 pm »
This was my car shortly after I started viewing the forum.

I'd already added the Ronals from the MK6 as the ones that I bought it on had all be refurbished.
I've just changed the rear as the pics show below, but please be aware buying an Ed30 rear doesn't suit the existing exhaust......

Before

After - looked a bit crazy for a while

Forgot - added R32 rears whilst waiting to plug the gap.

I had to wait for 6 weeks to get the Ed30 Miltek as they had an issue with the tail pipes I was told - I think these may be slightly longer now? I've also added rear number plate LEDs and I fitted a REVO panel filter in readiness for the new exhaust yesterday.

Hope you like so far?

Cheers for the comments StuF - forgot about that, I snapped the old one trying to get if off yet managed to win one off ebay and sprayed it myself.

Are these factory GTI recaro's or did you retrofit them?
Very nice car mate, do like the ED30 rear on a graphite GTI, don'tsee many about.

Looks great!

standard gti exhaust is perfect on edition 30 rear bumper though.  Think yours was fitted incorrectly as in the first original bumper pic, the exhaust sticks out too far.

Hi big al,

Yes factory fit GTi seats with the GTI logo on them - I couldn't believe it when I went to see the car as they wasn't part of the advert.

Hi winrya,

Your car looks clean - don't understand after seeing yours as mine was the original from the factory? Yours looks like it was made for it, mine looked like far to small?

My seats

My badge

I simply removed or should I say snapped the old one trying to get it off, bought a replacement from ebay £7.50 (a new one is £80 at the stealers).  Then sanded it and sprayed it myself.

^ It's the rear wrap that's equally impressive  :happy2:

I've not seen it done but always had the intention to give wrapping the rear plate with some carbon weave.
