Check out my new mods
« on: February 23, 2009, 12:56:14 pm »
Hi guys

Just thought I'd show you a pic of my new mods - I had the side skirts, front lip, and rear valance painted last week, and I fitted some R32 lights yesterday... what do you think?  :jumpmove:

so u left the center sections plastic/unpainted?

mines in this friday, im still making up my mind to paint the front fully or leave the center black, same with the rear bumper..

as my car is blue i think leaving them black would stand out more giving a better stance similar to most m-sport bmws

looking great mate, miles better

i like how you left the lower valance. i did that too. i think it needs that, it breaks is up well and looks too rounded if you paint it! ;)

This is what I would like to do.  What price are you guys paying for something like this?
Laser Blue with K04 power, APR hardware controlled by REVO 2+ software
Chassis by KW V3's, Whiteline and a hint of PRO race 1.2's
Brakes by Brembo 4 pots

Any more pictures? I've considered this, and I'd also leave the rear centre section unpainted to have a bit of contrast.  :happy2:

Like others im considering this too, got a quote from my local VW dealer down the road and he wanted over £1,000. I couldnt believe it! He was saying you need new side skirts as they cant be removed. Is this true? Also was yours "wet-primed"? I think thats what its called in order to get a smooth finish on the textured parts...

£1000 , they should be shot    :fighting:

One of me bezzie mates and his dad have a bodywork unit, done my front splitter, skirts and rear bump for £150    :jumpmove:
you should be able to get it done for £250-£300 from a respectable bodyshop    :happy2:
