In Ear Phones
« on: February 12, 2011, 11:31:03 pm »
I'm after some buds for my iPhone/laptop. Not a huge audiophile but do prefer something that sounds good. I'm slowly appreciating the fact that not every song needs to have the bass pumping and drowning out the rest of the song.

I'm after something in the £30-50 range. There are a few I've seen like Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 EBs, or Klipsch Custom 2. But they are either unavailable in the UK or have some issues with build quality/microphonics etc.

Any recommendations?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I can't get on with the in-ear phones like the Sennheiser CX300's.

My preferred choice is the MX660.  :happy2:

I second that. Brilliant quality and all for £15 off Amazon. So good I bought pairs for people at xmas and they were as impressed as me (and it made me look really generous lol). They compared them to £150 pairs of headphones from rival manufacturers and I have not seen one bad word said about them.

Get Shure buds if they're in budget.

Sound Magic PL50. Around £40, they are in ear and got some fantastic reviews. They make earphones for Shure, Etymotic and other top Brands. I'm looking to get some Dre Beats soon. Can't decide if I want on ear or in ear

If you want to have a remote for the iphone, maybe Denon 260R or Sennheiser MM50.  Both 'in ear' type.  Denon is a clearer sound, Sen's more bass driven.

No remote, Sony EX500 (Argos online £51, were about £70)  V good but long extension cord (again 'in ear' type)
Had: Edition 30, 3 Door Manual, Pearl Black, Cruise Control, IPod Prep, Arm Rest, Auto Lights and Wipers
