Runflat tyres
« on: January 31, 2011, 06:19:36 pm »
Are these any good for our cars? I bought a couple of Michelin PS2s recently and didn't know they were the ZP (zero pressure) version, just want to know if I should keep them or flog them

Have saved me in the BMW twice now but ride is a bit firmer than normal tyres, personally I would prefer a spare wheel.

I hate them! Swapped the girlfriends run flats on her mini for some contisport contact 3s! I cant tell you the difference it made! I like driving now, where I cringed before!

I'm not really keen on a harsh ride, a spare is enough for me. I may just flog them on the bay  :happy2:

Don't they need some sort of ''special'' tyre removing machine to change these as well?.

I hate them on my 320d .... they feed back too much to the driver through the steering wheel and car generally.  Too many vibes.

me mam just picked up a new cooper s and apparently run flats are no longer standard fitment - hers came with normal tyres, so maybe bmw have got the message

she prefers them alot more than the run-flats that were on her previous cooper s  :happy2:

Yeh James, they dropped them now. They are a free optional extra I think now.

Now I've said they're free to have them, somethings telling me it's a 140 quid option. God knows, but yes, they've been dropped
