Quick tyre question..
« on: February 02, 2011, 11:41:43 am »
I need to get some new front tyres, but have noticed this on the back tyres:

There are a few tears/splits like this on both back tyres none of which seem particularly deep.  Should I replace these as well?

They are Bridgestones if that makes any difference

so long as theres nothing sticking in them still, and there not on the sidewalls or so deep you can see the tyre lining, i would leave them and just keep an eye on them, due to that gash being on the tread which is designed to wear down anyway, so its not going to weeken your tyre.

please correct me if im wrong :)

Thanks guys, that's what I was thinking.

I'll have a proper look at them later when I get the car out the garage.
