As we are planning a viking invasion to this meet, can anyone help with info to a place to stay near Bruntingthorpe?
Also we would like to visit the Pod in the same trip, any info as to the Pod being open that weekend?

Cheers  :drinking:

We weren't planning o a longer crusade so 9 days are a bit much, i don't think we can rape and plunder that long
I always think of Dave Allen where he was a viking shouting "rape and plunder" and an old toothless wmoan says "yes please" and his horns on the helmet suddenly points downwards. He was a funny guy.  :signLOL:
As much as i would love visiting Goodwood i can't justify that many days i'm afraid  :sad1:

....He most certainly won't if you call him "Lord March" - He's Earl March. I had occasion to Art Direct him as a specialist photographer many moons ago - Not the easiest fella to get on with I recall.

It is difficult to come away from the Goodwood estate without thinking that Lord March really has the most perfect life. From his Regency mansion, Charles Henry Gordon Lennox, Earl of March and Kinrara and heir to the 10th Duke of Richmond, to give him his full title - he is known simply as 'LM' around the estate - is master of all he surveys.

Whatever he's called, he's not worth arguing about imo. I found him very pompous and arrogant unless he has radically changed.

Actually, my dear fellow, I'm not wrong - Both titles are in use and I believe he was called Earl March at Eton. It's also how I was first introduced to him.

:P :booty: :P
