350bhp through 2 front road tyres is never going to be a huge success

Viper/Vette they all look the same to me.

I paid my money to get in and for my sprints - their decision to run a Misc class, not mine. I've attended and supported International for over a decade, are you saying I shouldn't have run, Luke?

I knind of see your point, a fleet of (insert car) turning up for some cheap action is wrong, GTI enthusiasts who happen to have something else with them on the day is another matter.

You'll notice I didn't put it on the free handling track, which was excellent BTW. I thought that would have been rude and taking advantage. I'm not a complete b******!

Not saying that at all. But it kind of defeats the object of GTI International a VAG owners event, when Corvettes are parked in Club displays and the like.

Oh, and you would have been welcome to take part in the handling arena. Even a Corsa went round. Its just that anything outside of VAG didnt qualify for the competition.  :happy2:

Bum. I should have asked. Although with the ease this thing goes sideways, I'd have been pulling cones out of the arches all afternoon!

I see your point, there's no harm in competition for all, but as soon as you start assigning prizes and it should be VAG only.
Sideways yo!

Had a great day Sunday, the convoy down and back with Joe, Gaz and Mr. Brown was epic. The tunnel run was just  :rolleye: :rolleye: :rolleye:

Only managed to get one decent run in which was a 3.8 (0-60), 12.4 (quarter) which I was preety chuffed with. On my 3rd run my clutch decided to throw it's toys out of the pram when I launched. Thought I had done some serious damage but it all turned out ok in the end thank god!

Joe's Porka was just mental, it's a seriously fast time he did with his gangsta 20' rimz and the stone age automatic gearbox

8th in my class for 1/4mile and 4th for 0-60. Quite happy with that
I did poor  :sad1: oh well was my 1st time 7th in 1/4mile and 9th in 0-60 oh well long quiet private road for testing is required me thinks  :driver:

Close times on the 1/4 mile between you two.  :happy2:

Edd, think I see you going down the strip, recognise your no. plate.

I was hoping to see my time on there but doesn't look like it's been posted up.

It was my first run, and i eased off at the end for some unknown reason...then i couldnt get launch control to work again so couldn't beat the time!

i have a video of the run though so wil post that up eventually.

Taking advantage, not at all, its my TTRS which you would have had to beat to get the number one spot!  :happy2:

I'd have thought that the Misc class was for Caddy's, Polo's, Corrado's etc and not Corvettes and BMW's

Golf R gone.

Apart from the horrendous sunburn it was another great day out at Inters  :happy2:

Managed 2nd in class on Sunday with a 5.6 / 14.1, few tenths slower than last year and i'm definitely taking the camping chairs and coolbox out of the boot next year
