I went out in one the other day, good interior and performance (I had just mapped it) but ride quality was shockingly bad, sounded broken or as if someone had fitted some ebay coilovers  customer said it had been that crashy since new.

Not sure if all are like that though!

Those were some quick replies,  :happy2: lol. love the interior too! Im looking at them loosely, around the same running costs and performance (i dont drive fast anyway) i believe, but for me a little less tied up in finance, and still a crtacking car that is pretty limited edition!

Wondered if anyone knew what was standard equipment, i know the climate conrol was a no cost option (weight saving) and some have heated seats but appear to have the non bucket style recaros. However a couple have listed heated seats in adverts but appear to have proper bucket style recaros.

With Audis are there the same retro fit possibilities as the edition 30/gti for example? cruise control/cd/nav units etc.

Also, will my current S3 front brakes fit on the TT?

Thanks in advance guys!  :notworthy:

Standard fit equipment seems to be on par with the V6 models so xenons, climate, heated seats on the 'regular' seat models and all the electric doo dahs etc
My mate's has the no cost option of regular sport seats as opposed to the Recaros that they came with, comfier for regular use but really lacking lateral support, recaro equipped one would be my choice
Comes with no back seats and a brace bar and luggage net instead, cruise is an easy retro fit and all will come with a CD player, nav was a funny one on the TT as none ever had a full screen nav, was single din with a control unit down by the handbrake iirc

Current S3 brakes wont fit as the TT is 5x100 PCD, Brembos off a Cupra R will though and super cheap now, remap sees approx 270  :happy2:

:star:  :drinking: Mega mate, thanks for the info.....single din nav, sounds a bit poo lol. I found a couple of Cupr R's with double din sat navs, seems mega rare on them. On with the search now! I did have a shortlist of possible cars, it was TTsport, old shape Cupra R, old Shape S3 and mk4 Anniversary. Drifiting more and more towards the TT.  :driver: I must admit, its mainly the interior thats doing it and the low numbers in the uk.

I know the same chap Beddie does, Chris has hardly lost a penny on the TT in 3 years. They're widely touted as a future classic.

He's had it on pretty much every type of track and saving the race Haldex controller, it has nothing more than its 312s and uprated pads/fluid  - it's an absolute weapon and goes all day, every day with no drama.

People slag off the MKI TTs dynamics, which in some ways is fair, but having had a 225 and V6 on Silverstone courtesy of Audi and comparing it to driving Chris's, they're chalk and cheese. His is a stupidly capable car.
Sideways yo!

Sweet. Found some stunning examples around, seems to be an enthusiasts car as opposed to many edition 30's and R32's wich were second gen enthusiast cars. (flame suit on) just my opinion! This was possibly down to cost when new, but also because of a shortage of R32's around late 2006, early 2007, and the roadtax deal for company cars, so im told.
Getting more and more serious about getting the TTsport now lol. I would only be putting the cupra r calipers on for looks btw. Im a granny on the road, slow and steady wins the race  :signLOL:
Think im going to hold off for a couple of months at least and enjoy the Edition 30 while i can, then settle down with the TT  :signLOL: Cannot get enough of the interior!

It's garbage to be honest, called the BNS 4.0 iirc, unit in the boot and a control device down by the handbrake with the nav instructions on the DIS...

Alcantara wheel and knob will be most likely bald by now lol and imo they need the Race Haldex controller as in the dry they are understeer central when really pushing on, engine is unburstable and just a remap will see 270 and a big grin

I had the use of a 225 for a while and my bro in law has a 3.2, both very very nice cars but the QS is definitely a much more capable car, Misano Red with Recaros for me please....

The reds nice, but the backs of the seats are body coloured so may have to give the red a miss! The Avus silver one does it for me! Found one with 17000 miles on it, the 1st one ive seen with little or no wear on the alcantara, as you say its not built for endurance that stuff  :signLOL: but looks mega if looked after.

Been looking at these for a while too and love the Black roof and style of the wheels, deffo the best looking MK1 TT!  :happy2:

Also don't think many people are aware of them so prices vary wildly. Find a good one at the right money and you shouldn't loose a penny!  :happy2:

Apparently from what I heard it was a properly sorted car the Qs version and very quick around the ring.

Future classic for sure.
