140 TSI looking for advice :O
« on: March 07, 2011, 10:41:37 pm »
HI guys
Im looking to remap the car soon
I have a guy in my work that can map it but as im sure he says it only maps to 180bhp
Although i was looking at Revo and they ad that it can map to 205bhp with there map but is double the price
If i was to go for revo, does anyone know if you can get a plug in map or would you recommend goin to a revo dealer and live mapping it?
I know most ppl dont like mapping the tsi but i defo need one soon
Just looking for advice, thanks :D

Ask the 'guy in your work' where his map is from, how much time went into development and for some data such as dyno graphs, long term road test data etc... then you will find why the better product is more expensive, after all, you will get what you pay for.

Find your local friendly REVO dealer and give them a call or go to REVO directly and you wont be dissapointed. There is no plug-in available as such and your dealer will be able to set up your car to your requirements, theres no live mapping for the Tsi ECU system as such.

Go for the REVO remap. I saw your engine doing 220 ps on a dyno with nothing but REVO remap.
There is no doubt in my mind that REVO is what you are looking for.

Cheers

Took the data from my ECU - sent it to his mate who made the map
and sent it back and put it on my ECU
Not sure of the ins and outs but he does maps for Torque It in glasgow
Really reliable and cant fault him yet
