'55Plate R32 >>'07 GTi ED30 LED No. Plate Bulbs
« on: February 25, 2011, 02:23:36 pm »
A year or so ago I purchased a set of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370253946590&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
and the plug and play resistor packs for the sidelights, so I could run any LED bulb. These were for my January 2006 '55 plate Mk5 Golf R32. Both items worked perfectly and gave the desired effect.

I sold that car and recently purchased a March 2007 '07 plate Mk5 Golf GTi Edition 30, and have tried to install just the rear number plate bulbs, and they flicker and turn themselves off and bring up the warning light...

Any ideas why this would be? Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Dom

Did your old R32 have any of the diagnostics for bulb checking turned off in VCDS/VAG-COM?

Don't think anything fundamental should be different between those two models, that one make those work in one but not the other?
