I isnt a valid numberplate letter.
It is however valid on NI plates, but not UK plates - therefore you wont find a UK plate with an I in it!
With the new 10 reg and onward plates, you could buy a Kent registered number that reads GT 1X XXX - but you'd have to break the law with the spacing to create GTI and you'd need a April '10 or newer car to benefit from it. But it is possible now.
Robin - To be honest, I wasn't as upset about to vandalism as I thought I might be. There's an on-going problem with some local scum and I'm working with the Police to deal with it. I guess living in an expensive area attracts crime because it's rich pickings. When they couldn't break into our storage (behind the car), they took it out on the car. All three panels on the near side and possibly a new bonnet. But what can you do? Getting cross won't achieve anything. I take comfort in the fact that I work hard and can afford a £30k Golf - they can't. Suffice to say my Orange now lives upstairs! Once resprayed I'm going to try and blag a full PaintShield/Di-Noc wrap through work.
