They already do make the PSS in 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18 in France.
But they don't sell them in Europe.

I was looking at some of these but they're nearly £200 a corner. Think I'll be getting either PS3s of Conti 5Ps instead.

Thay are worth every penny trust me. If you do from 1 to 5 track days a year, these will save you to have a spare set of wheels for track use, and they'll outlast the PS2 by a long mile

ok, so can someone explain to me how the PSS can possibly outlast a PS2 or PS3 for road use ? find it hard to believe tbh

as title of the tread states they are treadwear 300, higher then your PS2's, the trick is the inner 80% is this treadwear and the outer 20% a very soft compound that only get's used when you give it the beans in turns. Just ask the stripped out BMW's and Stripped Clio's i passed at a track day at Donington with 3 person's in the car back in July last year how good they gripped

mmmm, these PSS get even more tempting by the minute, although I have to say Im prob going to jump ship to Continental CS5's!

given the extra miles you can get on PSS from what you guys are saying, it may work out cheaper per mile to get PSS over PS2 (even though PS2 are cheaper to buy initially)

Exactly, best  part is for track use they should have normal tyre pressure

I was looking at the SC5Ps or the Eagle Fw Assy 2s.  Both seem to be top of the premiums right now

Ive had my pss for 9 months now, tyre tread still looks like new, my ps2's where dead in 9 months. The pss also saw track work whilst the ps2's didnt.

Yes the PSS is slightly more expensive, but they are lasting longer!

These tyres are so awesome. No understeer, massive wet grip, infact did I mention I snapped my propshaft launching the car in the wet with these tyres lol

They do 245/40/R18 …..will 245's cause any issues?

245/40 R18 are way too big on a Golf (they fit the TT, not a GTI).
Same with 225/45 R18.
