Can this really be a petrol thing???

Replaced my Diverter Valve over a week ago and when I tested the car again it was as I expected and more.
Really felt the power kick in around 1800rpm and loved it.

At the time of the test I had just about a quarter of a tank (i;d filled it with V-Power as recommended on here)

Though after looking around the forums and thought about the Clubcard points - I filled up with Momentum99.

Now as the tank has worked it;s way down, the kick of power has seemed to have faded.

Originally I thought I might not have out the DV back properly - not tight enough etc.

But could this be a fuel difference??

Also if the DV isn't tight enough I'd surely here a whistle like when my old Rev B was shot...wouldn't I?

Or option C) youve got used to the kick and have stopped noticing it as much, or have adapted driving style to be less aggressive?

I did think that.....might fill up again with V-Power and see what's what.

Worth a try as cost is likely negligible between the two fuels.  I did the DV myself recently and despite not seeing any damage to the diaphragm on the Rev B unit that was on the car it certainly seems to cause a more sudden spool up and feel or torque.

I am going to check that the bolts are tight though as I know the 2 were though the one at the top was hard to get to though thought I'd done it enough....paranoia is kicking in though....

Need a ramp or lift....would be so much easier..

Avoid the Tesco stuff, my Ed runs like a dog on it  :sick:
The ECU adjusts from the knock sensor, so with poorer quality fuel it will retard timing.
Keep V Power going in, and the power will return.
Had: Edition 30, 3 Door Manual, Pearl Black, Cruise Control, IPod Prep, Arm Rest, Auto Lights and Wipers
