as the above says, im test driving a mk5 gti tomorrow, anything in particular i should be asking about them or need to know?
are they chain driven or belt driven?

Whats the age mileage  and spec? Check history, cambelt and water pump should be 4yrs or 40/60k but if close factor that into any deal.

Check the obvious ones, that all doors are straight, that the panels are all the same exact colour, look onto the corner overlaps of the lights to see if there is any paint that may have been sprayed over.
Check the rear lights for condensation, Def make sure the cambelt has been changed/replaced. full service history.
